I'm a licensed psychologist in California who believes that prioritizing your mental health should be a non-negotiable.

Biography

As a trauma-informed therapist, I have worked with an array of mental health concerns within my clinical experiences. In addition to providing mental health services, I also provide business coaching to early career professionals, executives, and women entrepreneurs. I combine my teaching, clinical, and coaching experience to help clients improve their mental health and emotional well-being. I am dedicated and I encourage my clients to break free from unhealthy patterns to build the life they deserve by destigmatizing mental health therapy and reframing a positive dialogue around the mind-body connection.

For over a decade, I have provided care to individuals within the Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) community who have severe and persistent mental health diagnoses, as well as those who have experienced trauma. My experience working with BIPOC communities is centered around my passions to address the stigma associated with mental health diagnoses and working with women who have experienced trauma, postpartum depression, anxiety, and childbirth trauma, and women struggling to find a balance between careers/entrepreneurship and motherhood.

As a BIPOC and mother of 2, I am passionate about serving women of color and mothers through various life stages. Through my own experience of postpartum anxiety and balancing being the CEO of
a psychotherapy and consulting practice, I have developed a community for BIPOC women to feel accepted and to discuss maternal wellness.

While I specialize in working with women, I also work with men to identify and manage issues that obstruct their mental wellness. As a psychologist with many years of experience, I’ve helped individuals and couples find balance and happiness in their lives by integrating evidence based treatments (EBT). I use a variety of EBT including but not limited to solution focused brief therapy, emotionally focused therapy, and CBT tools. My approach is tailored to meet the specific needs to help you heal. Most importantly, I strive to form meaningful relationships with my clients. I believe the client is the expert and I work in collaboration with my clients to find a sense of balance in their life.
